In order to apply for studies or any other purposes abroad, it is necessary to provide attested documents. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Apostille’s work have been outsourced since March 1, 2012. Therefore, any individual’s document is not acceptable at any effective MEA counter at CPV division, Patiala House, and New Delhi. The original document must be submitted directly to one of the outsourced companies. The primary purpose of MEA attestation is to prove the authenticity of the document. Attestation or Apostille is a fundamental requirement from MEA to legally apply for various purposes.
The process of mea can be done after all the certificates or documents issued by Indian authority. Procedures are given below:
Step 1: Authentication of the Document
Non educational documents:
In order to ensure the validity of official documents such as driving licenses, birth or death certificates, and marriage certificates, it is imperative that they be attested by the state home department of the issuing state or union territory. The authentication process is deemed complete if the document bears the name, designation seal, and seal of the department.
Step: 2 legalization of the Documents by MEA:
After the above authentication with the necessary signature, seal and stamp on your document must be attested by the ministry of external affairs (mea). After that it legalized your documents on the basis of the signatory and stamps. It does not take any specific responsibility for the written contents of the necessary certificate or documents.
